Antioch Arts & Crafts Faire draws thousands

The Antioch Chamber of Commerce presents its annual Fall Arts & Crafts Faire from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, and Sunday, Sept. 8, in downtown Antioch.

There will be fun for the whole family with activities at the new location of Main Street (Route 83) and Orchard Street in the heart of downtown.

Children’s activities include free face painting, balloon art and Cha Cha (the Rainforest mascot).

Antioch’s Bazaar and Arts and Crafts Faires have grown in size over the years to more than 140 booths of handcrafted goods for summer and fall. Antioch’s Faires attract crafters from across the country and it’s not unusual to meet crafters from California, Florida, Ohio, and the Carolinas.

Antioch has a reputation for a great show with an interesting variety of wares that draws approximately 5,000 to 12,000 people.

Admission is free for all ages.

Antioch’s location, just 40 miles between Chicago, Milwaukee, and Rockford, attracts a large number of craft enthusiasts from a 100-mile radius to browse and shop.

For details, contact the Antioch Chamber at (847) 395-2233 or email office@AntiochChamber.org.
