East Dundee

Ÿ Melissa A. Cavin, 37, of the 300 block of Madison Street, Woodstock, was charged Wednesday with two counts of forgery, two counts of issuing/delivering a forged document, two counts of unauthorized possession of a prescription form, unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance and attempted unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance, according to court documents. Cavin is accused of forging prescriptions for Tramadol, a pain medicine, using a Colorado dentist’s name and bringing it to a pharmacy on the 600 block of Dundee Avenue. Cavin’s bail was set at $150,000. Her next court date is Sept. 6.

Ÿ Karen A. Wilder, 44, of the 500 block of North Court Street, Rockford, was charged Wednesday with two counts of retail theft, according to court documents. Wilder is accused of taking about $300 worth of merchandise, including towels and soap dispensers, from a store on the 600 block of Dundee Avenue. Wilder’s bail was set at $50,000 Thursday, and her next court date is Sept. 11.

Elgin

Ÿ David R. Williams, 24, of the 900 block of Main Street, Belvidere, was charged Friday with DUI and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, court documents show. Williams was found in possession of two cannabis pipes after a traffic stop, police said. His bail was set at $5,000, and his next court date is Thursday.

Ÿ Kentrell S. Branch, 26, of the 400 block of Kenneth Circle in Elgin, was charged Thursday with possession and manufacturing/delivery of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis, court documents show. His bail was set at $20,000, and his next court date is Thursday.

Ÿ Traci L. Sinklair, 39, of the 700 block of Jefferson Street, Elgin, was charged with retail theft after police say she took merchandise Aug. 8 from a big box store on the 800 block of South Randall Road, according to court records. She is next due in court Sept. 8.
