Mount Prospect library to host kitchen remodeling seminar

“Kitchens From Floor To Ceiling” is the new informational seminar to be presented at the Mount Prospect Public Library, 10 S. Emerson St. at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 10. The seminar is free and open to the public. Registration in advance is requested. Call the library at (847) 253-5675 to reserve seats.

David Kunzweiler is a partner in Cabinets Plus Inc. of Palatine. The family owned and operated, full-service kitchen and bath remodeling company was founded in 1962. According to Kunzweiler, “With the recent resurgence in the residential real estate market, more people are purchasing existing homes in dire need of updating or complete remodeling. Some of these homes are foreclosures that have been seriously neglected. Many real estate agents agree that the kitchen and baths are the most important rooms in the home for most buyers.”

Kunzweiler will emphasize the use of energy efficient appliances and “green” products and materials when remodeling a kitchen. Other topics covered during the seminar include how to establish a timetable for a remodeling project; new trends in remodeling; the importance of installing sufficient lighting and “buzz words” homeowners need to know.

Real estate agents and others involved in the home-related industries may want to attend the seminar to learn home remodeling tips from a veteran residential remodeling expert.

Cabinets Plus, Inc. is located at 706 E. Northwest Highway in Palatine. For information call (847) 358-0143 or visit www.cabinetsplus.com.
