Fremd tips BG in MSL showdown
Two of the top girls golf teams in the Mid-Suburban League battled to the final hole on Thursday at the Chevy Chase Golf Club in Wheeling.
When the final score had been counted, Fremd edged Buffalo Grove 162-165 in the tri-meet hosted by Wheeling.
Dorothy Feng (38) Jaehee Hur (40), Jennifer Kim (41) and Kelly O’Sullivan (49) recorded the top scores for the Vikings on the par-36 layout.
Senior Amber Guiao of Buffalo Grove earned medalist honors with a 37 followed by teammates Lauren Guiao (41), Courtney Meyer (43) and Stacey Mantas (44).
Wheeling’s top score was produced by Kirsten Caramba (59)
Prospect d. EG, HE: Five-time defending Mid-Suburban League champ Prospect shot a 155 and cruised to its 57th straight victory in conference dual meet play since 2008.
Kiley Walsh (36), Ally Scaccia (39), Isabella Flack (39) and Emma Menich (41) recorded the top scores for the host Knights on the par-35 layout at the Mt. Prospect Golf Club.
Marki Kaim paced Elk Grove (202) with a 41 while Hoffman (221) was led by Maeve Prusnick (49).
