A member of the Cook County Board is asking for applications to be on the Metra board of directors.

Tobolski and other Cook County commissioners are responsible for appointing a replacement for O'Halloran. Tobolski says it's important because the board is one resignation away from not having a quorum. He says he wants to make the nomination process "as transparent and open as possible."

The only requirement for the job is that the nominee live in Metra District 3.
