Libertyville to consider chicken keeping:

Libertyville officials will consider the issue of allowing chickens in town. The matter on Tuesday was referred to the village board’s special projects committee for future discussion after Mayor Terry Weppler said he had received questions from four or five residents regarding the practice. “Residents have the right to petition the government,” Weppler said. Chickens are allowed on property of five acres or more that include a maximum of one home.
