Tommy Tritschler and Jeremy Pasterz shared the shutout in goal for Antioch (2-0), which led 3-0 at halftime.

Grayslake Central 6, Richmond-Burton 0: Alex Stickler and Joey Mudd each scored twice for the Rams, who won in Steve Feldman’s head-coaching debut.

Isaac Longenecker added a goal and an assist, while Mudd also assisted on a goal. Steven Anderson and Connor Gosell shared the shutout in goal.

Vernon Hills 3, St. Patrick 2 (shootout): Mike McCaulou’s head-coaching debut for the Cougars was a success.

Jeremy Cohen scored in the first half and assisted on Tony Orozco’s second-half tally, and Vernon Hills prevailed 4-1 in shootout kicks in an opening game of the Cougar Invite.

“We played great possession soccer for our first time together,” said McCaulou, who used to coach at Grayslake Central. “Boys are working hard and buying into the system. It was a good start.”
