Two Villa Park firefighters and a dog received treatment after a fire broke out in a Villa Park apartment complex on Terrance Street. None of the building’s occupants were injured. Two firefighters were treated and released from area hospitals. Firefighters also rescued a dog and gave it oxygen to help it recover. Full story.
Arlington Heights police are still seeking the public’s help as they continue to search for an elderly resident last seen early Friday morning near Yorkville. Eugene Jonsson, 84, left his home in Arlington Heights at 7:45 p.m. Thursday. Police believe he intended to travel to a nearby restaurant and got lost. Full story.
Kurtis Worley of Addison appeared in a DuPage County court yesterday and denied murdering his wife last month. Worley faces five counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated battery and one count each of attempted first-degree murder, armed violence and aggravated domestic battery.
