Comcast's Battle of the Fans to highlight fan videos

The 2013 prep football season arrives this week, which means the Battle of the Fans crew will soon be on the road again looking for the Chicago area's best student sections.

While Battle of the Fans tours Chicagoland this year to see some of the biggest and most spirited fans around, there's many more that don't get in front of the CN100 cameras. That's why Battle of the Fans needs your help this football season.

Beginning Aug. 26, you – the fans – can show us how your school's student section cranks up the prep pride on game days. Here's how to do it:

• Create a one- to two-minute video of your student section in action. Make it creative and be sure to include an interview with a student leader explaining what makes your fans special.

• Upload the video to YouTube and email the link to comcastbattleofthefans@gmail.com. Approved videos will be shared with the Battle of the Fans audience on our Facebook and YouTube pages.

It's that simple. And, that's not all. The Battle of the Fans crew will pick its favorite submitted video to feature in our season-ending Football Final show on CN100, The Comcast Network, later this year. Plus, Battle of the Fans will make an appearance to feature your student section at a home basketball game during the 2013-14 season.

Video submissions will be accepted beginning the week of Aug. 26 and throughout the 2013 football regular season, so get your fans together to show us what you've got.
