INDIANAPOLIS -- The lawsuit filed by a missing Indiana University student's parents against three men who were with her the night she was last seen is on hold until a judge decides whether to dismiss it.
Lawyers for the parents of Lauren Spierer and the three men met Thursday with a federal magistrate in Indianapolis. The magistrate suspended any evidence gathering while Judge Tanya Walton Pratt considers dismissal motions.

Lawyers for Corey Rossman, Michael Beth and Jason Rosenbaum maintain the Spierers have no evidence their daughter is dead or that the men were involved.
The lawsuit claims the fellow IU students gave 20-year-old Lauren Spierer alcohol, then failed to make sure the Greenburgh, N.Y., native made it back to her Bloomington apartment safely after a night of partying in June 2011.
