Prairie Center announces season schedule

The Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg has announced its 2013-14 season of family-friendly performances in music, dance, theater and more.

Ÿ Neil Berg's “100 Years of Broadway,” 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5

Ÿ The indie soul band JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound, 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11

Ÿ An Evening with John Mayall, the influential British blues guitarist, 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19

Ÿ The Irish Heritage Singers, 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1

Ÿ Shemekia Copeland, the young blues artist, 8 p.m. Nov. 2

Ÿ “The Nutcracker,” Friday, Dec. 6, through Sunday, Dec. 15

Ÿ Gus Giordano Dance Chicago, 8 p.m. Saturday, March 1

Ÿ Nebraska Theatre Caravan's steampunk tour of the off-Broadway musical “The Fantasticks,” 8 p.m. Saturday, March 8
