On Wednesday, August 28th at 7pm, Northwest Suburbs Organizing for Action (NWSOFA) will present a public forum and town hall meeting about health care reform and the Affordable Care Act (“ACA”) at the Palatine Public Library, 700 North Court, Palatine. The guest speaker will be Andy Kurz, a former Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Wisconsin. Mr. Kurz has researched, written, and spoken to many groups about the ACA, also known as “Obamacare.” He will discuss what the ACA has already done and what it will do in coming years, and he will respond to some of the myths and misconceptions about the ACA. He will answer questions from the audience. A video titled “Health Reform Hits Main Street,” made by Kaiser Health, will be shown. This is a great opportunity to learn how health care reform will affect you.
