Sky scouting report vs. Liberty

Last time: The Liberty lost at Minnesota on Sunday, 88-57; the Sky won Tuesday at Washington, 79-73.

Skinny: With a win over New York, the Sky can qualify for a playoff berth for the first time in the team’s eight-year history. Still sitting in first place in the Eastern Conference with a 2 ½-game lead over Atlanta, the Sky has won five of its last six games, is 10-2 at home and is 4-0 against New York this season… The Sky also can count on the services of Elena Della Donne, their star rookie and leading scorer (18.5 ppg). She had 24 points in Tuesday’s win after missing two games with a foot sprain. Center Sylvia Fowles added 16 points and 15 rebounds against Washington… The Liberty is just 1 game from the fourth and final playoff spot in the East. Guard Cappie Pondexter, a Chicago native, ranks third in the WNBA in scoring at 18.7 points per game…Fans are encouraged to wear pink for the Sky’s annual Pink-Out to support Breast Health Awareness.
