Robert Cook, chairman of the Lake County Republican Central Committee, announced he plans to seek re-election to that post in 2014. w"I've worked hard the past four years leading our county party in the direction it needs to go, but there's still more work to be done," he said in a news release. Cook serves as a Wauconda Park District Board commissioner and is a Wauconda Township Republican precinct committeeman. Elections for county chairman take place in March 2014 at the party conventions after the General Primary election.
