Resendiz was taken to a hospital for a checkup then returned to her care facility.

Police did not release additional details of Resendiz's whereabouts since she went missing last Wednesday from the facility where she was living under court order.

Authorities said she was visited that day by her son, Armando Resendiz, who spent several hours with her. The facility staff later discovered her missing and believed she may have been with her son, police said at the time.

Nebl said he does not anticipate any criminal charges stemming from the woman's disappearance.
