CLC pilot ground school offered:
College of Lake County will offer an information session about a private pilot ground school that’ll start this semester. The free session on the program will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, in Room T334 at the flagship Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St. Students can sign up by visiting lcinfosessions.eventbrite.com. The 15-week, noncredit course will be Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 4 through Dec. 18. Cost for the course is $499. Instructor Lyle Holbo is a professional pilot with more than 10,000 flight hours and an unblemished safety record, officials said.
