Antique doll appraisal, repair program at museum

Gigi Williams-Giannone and Sherry Baloun from Gigi’s Dolls and Sherry’s Teddy Bears present an informative program based on years of doll collecting and their sales and repair business.

If you bring your antique dolls, the first appraisal is complimentary; each additional appraisal is $5. Restringing is an additional charge. More extensive repairs can be arranged to be completed at the store.

This program is from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum, 110 W. Fremont. Fee is $10. Registration may be done online at ahmuseum.org, click on the classes/programs. In person registration may be done at any Arlington Heights Park District registration office.

The current antique toy and doll exhibit, “A Kid at Heart, Looking at Childhood Play,” will be open for viewing during this workshop.
