The fire was contained to a cart in a lab area used for carpentry projects, according to officials. It caused some sprinklers to go off, which appear to have kept the fire under control, the spokesman said.

There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

This is the second fire in three days on District 214 property. On Tuesday afternoon, a tar kettle used by workers resurfacing Wheeling High School's roof caught fire outside the school.
