The DuPage County sheriff's office is investigating a suspicious incident in which a teen girl was approached by an unknown man near Wheaton, police said Monday.
Authorities said the teen was crossing a pedestrian bridge that connects the county fairgrounds to the Motorcycle Hill subdivision about 10:30 p.m. July 28 when the man walked up, asked for directions and then continued to follow and approach her.
Police said the teen ran away and called for help, while the man left in an unknown direction.
The man was described as Hispanic and about 30 years old. He was wearing a black shirt, according to the sheriff's office, which released a composite sketch Monday.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call police at (630) 407-2400.
