Paramount Theatre releases 2013-14 schedule

In a lineup that includes '60s bands and popular comedians, the Paramount Theatre in Aurora unveiled the shows for its 2013-14 season.

This 82nd season of comedy, music and family-friendly shows includes:

Happy Together Tour 2013 — The tour that brings together acts from the 1960s features: The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Gary Puckett & Union Gap, Gary Lewis & The Playboys and past members of Three Dog Night and Paul Revere & The Raiders. There's also a Season Kick Off Party before the 8 p.m. show with appetizers and prizes from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23.

Terry Fator — The Las Vegas comedian performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12.

“Selected Shorts Live in Performance: Funny Fictions” — The popular public radio podcast tours with celebrated theater and TV actors Denis O'Hare, Kate Burton and Kristen Vangsness at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13.

“Momtourage” — Comedians Caroline Rhea, Carol Leifer and Kym Whitley combine for a show poking fun at family life at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18.

Larry the Cable Guy — The comedian performs at 5 and 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.

Garrison Keillor — The raconteur and public radio host of “A Prairie Home Companion” appears at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19.

“The Second City Nut-Cracking Holiday Revue” — A special run of the world-famous Chicago comedy troupe appears from Dec. 6 to 22 in the intimate Copley Theatre to poke fun at all things tied to the holiday season.

Ballet Folklorico — The traditional Mexican folkloric music and dance troupe returns at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6.

“A Christmas Carol” — A six-performance run of Charles Jones' adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic Christmas novella plays Dec. 7-9.

Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis — The ever-popular mix of pop and Christmas music is on tap at 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.

Christmas with the Celts — The holiday show, presented from an Irish and Scottish perspective, is at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Bill Blagg — A special holiday show features the touring magician and illusionist at 2 and 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28.

“Piano Men: A Tribute to Elton John & Billy Joel” — This tribute act to two great rock pianists and songwriters is performed twice on New Year's Eve at 6 and 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31.

“The Midtown Men” — Special Valentine's Day performances feature past members of the musical “Jersey Boys” at 1:30 and 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14.

The Peking Acrobats — The world-famous Chinese acrobatics troupe returns at 5 p.m. Sunday Feb. 16.

"Voca People” — The acclaimed off-Broadway vocal performance art comedy makes a tour at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 19.

“3 Redneck Tenors” — A comic concert of high and low music from a backwoods perspective is at 8 p.m. Friday, May 16.

“The King, The Killer & Cash” — A Tribute to Sun Studios starring members of the Broadway show “Million Dollar Quartet” is at 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday, May 17.

“Imagination Movers” — A live kid's show featured on Disney Junior plays 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18.

The previously announced Broadway Subscription Series features “In the Heights” (Sept. 11-Oct. 6), “Miss Saigon” (Oct. 30-Nov. 24), “42nd Street” (Jan. 15-Feb. 9) and “Rent” (March 12-April 6).
