The Fan Favorite votes this week will be added to the online votes cast between July 23 and 26, which featured performances of the Top 16 competition finalists. The act with the most online votes will win a Funjet Vacation for two.

The top prize for the contest is an expenses-paid trip to audition for producers of NBC's "America's Got Talent."

Both the overall winner and the Fan Favorite will be announced at the Taste of Arlington Heights after performances of the Top 10 from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10.

The summerlong talent competition is presented by the Daily Herald, produced by the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre and sponsored by the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce. Judging the competition are Metropolis executive director Charlie Beck, Metropolis music director Micky York, College of DuPage director of theater Connie Canaday Howard and Daily Herald writer Barbara Vitello, who reviews theater.

Last year's winners of both the grand prize and Fan Favorite were beatboxing duo Shawn Kurian and Sanu Johnof iLLest Vocals. They will also perform at the Taste of Arlington Heights, located at Vail Avenue and Campbell Street.
