On Thursday, Aug. 1, weather permitting, traffic on Fairfield Road north of Route 176 will be reduced to one lane to install a new storm sewer crossing. The work will start at 8:30 a.m. and the lane closure is to end by 4 p.m. Flaggers will be in place on both sides of the sewer crew to control traffic flow around the operation. Heavy delays should be expected. Those who can't avoid the area should allow extra travel time. Visit http://www.fairfield176.com/ for project updates.
