Parents invited to build Libertyville playground
Copeland Manor parents and former students, ages 18 and over, are welcome to help install a new section of playground on the evening of Aug. 9 and throughout the day on Aug. 10 at the elementary school, 801 S. Seventh St., Libertyville. The Copeland Manor Family Association will unpack the equipment between 5 and 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 9, and put it together and install it between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Aug. 10. The Family Association, which is funding the project, will save about $12,000 by using volunteers to assemble and install the playground equipment. Old equipment was cleared earlier this week.
