Palatine baseball, softball travel tryouts coming Aug. 3-4

Tryouts for Palatine Park District’s travel baseball and softball programs will held Aug 3-4, in Palatine. For more information, or to register for tryouts in advance, visit www.pyb.com.

Palatine Travelers Baseball Tryouts: The 2013-2014 Palatine Travelers Baseball Full Time Travel teams will be holding open tryouts for U9 through U14 teams on Aug. 3 and 4, at Hamilton Park, 1037 N. Smith, Palatine.

Saturday, Aug. 3: 10U, 9-11 a.m., Hamilton A & B; 13U, 9-11 a.m., Hamilton D & E; 11U, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Hamilton A & B; 14U, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Hamilton D & E; 12U, 2-4 p.m., Hamilton A & B; 9U, 4:15-6:15 p.m., Hamilton A & B (players for this 9U are required to play house.

Baseball call backs will be held on Sunday, Aug. 4.

Palatine Stingrays Softball Tryouts: The 2013-2014 Palatine Stingrays Softball Full Time Travel teams will be holding open tryouts for U10 through U14 teams on Aug. 3 and 4, at Paddock School, 225 W. Washington St., Palatine.

Saturday, Aug. 3: U-10, 9-11 a.m., Paddock Field 1; U11/ U12, 9-11 a.m., Paddock Field 2; U13/ U14, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Paddock Field 2.

Additional softball tryouts and call backs may be added on Sunday, Aug. 4, times to be determined.

Please note that travel divisions are based on age, not grade. Age requirements for each level are listed on the registration forms at www.pyb.com. In the event of adverse weather, make up dates and times will be posted on www.pyb.com.

To register for tryouts in advance, please visit www.pyb.com. For baseball, complete the online form through Appointment Quest Sign-in. New users can create a new account for access to the system. For softball, download and complete the registration form posted on www.pyb.com, and submit the form via mail or email using the instructions on the form. You may also register on site on the day of the tryouts, a half-hour before the tryout is scheduled to begin.
