Wear a helmet, get a treat
Wauconda police officers have been rewarding kids who are spotted riding bicycles with protective helmets this summer. Teaming with Bulldogs Grill, a local restaurant, officers are giving away coupons for free ice cream. The goal, organizers said, is to encourage bicycle safety.
