Confident Kids Today Lead to Successful Adults Tomorrow

The B.R. Ryall YMCA of Northwestern DuPage County believes the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for life. At the Y, children realize their full potential by learning values and positive behaviors and exploring their unique talents and interests. That makes for confident kids today, and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.

With so many demands on today's families and the increased focus on early childhood development, families need all the support they can get to nurture the potential of youth. We support children by providing a safe and healthy place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our child care programs are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the need children have to feel connected and supported in trying new things, and the caring and reinforcement parents and families need to help each other.

Programs now enrolling include Bright Beginnings and Kindergarten Round-Up. Bright Beginnings is year-round, DCFS licensed child care in a preschool environment for children ages 3-5 years. Full and part-time care is available. Kindergarten Round-Up offers half day care for children enrolled in kindergarten in districts 41, 89 and 200. Transportation is provided to/from the school and the Y. The children, in both programs, enjoy a variety of hands-on activities including swimming once a week.

To ensure that all children and families have access to high quality child care, the B.R. Ryall YMCA offers financial assistance to individuals and families in need. Each year, through the Y's community support campaign, generous donors contribute to the Y so that we can make Y programs and services available to children, families and individuals who need them most.

Ys are the nation's largest nonprofit provider of child care programs. B.R. Ryall YMCA continues to give youth an enriching, safe experience with caring staff who model positive values that help build their kids' character.
