Cook-off in Palatine to benefit Children's Advocacy Center

Celebrating All That Is Feminine (CATIF) will host its Third Annual Block Party and Rib and Chicken Cook-Off benefiting the Hoffman Estates-based Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County.

The event will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at Station and Wilson streets in downtown Palatine. The cook-off will feature rib and chicken samples, family friendly activities, a live auction, 50/50 raffle and local bands Selective Amnesia and Function Undefined. Admission is free.
