Arlington Heights holds biannual goals meeting

Arlington Heights officials met this week to discuss their goals and vision for the village over the next few years.

The village board laid out a plan including several big picture topics to focus on, as well as smaller objectives of how to get there, said Village Manager Bill Dixon.

Goals the board would like to work toward include business development, transportation planning, infrastructure maintenance, a low crime rate, affordable private housing and green/environmentally-friendly policies.

The village will post the results of the biannual goal-setting meeting on its website and Dixon will provide quarterly updates to the board over the next two years to show how the village is progressing toward each of the goals.
