Recycle electronics July 27 in Lake Zurich

The Ela Township Highway Department hosts an electronics recycling event on Saturday, July 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Knox Park, 1155 E. Route 22 in Lake Zurich. Accepted items include: televisions, computers/accessories, monitors, keyboards, scanners, printers, cellphones, stereos, MP3s, alkaline and rechargeable batteries, holiday lights, CD players, DVD players, VCRs, video games, cameras, telephones, fax machines, shredders, microwaves and small household appliances. Not accepted: air conditioners, large appliances, refrigerators and freezers (any size), and chemical waste. No commercial or business materials will be accepted.
