Innovation Group to move call center to Rolling Meadows

The Innovation Group plc said it will relocate call center operations, which primarily provide first notice of loss service, from Springfield, Mass. to its North American headquarters in Rolling Meadows.

The company said the move is based on assessment after recent events on the east coast, including Hurricane Irene and Hurricane Sandy, have highlighted the dangers of locating business critical operations in disaster prone areas when an immediate response must be guaranteed. The move is intended to help ensure continued top-quality service on a consistent basis for all Innovation Group customers, the company said in a release.

“We regret this relocation will cause a loss of jobs within our team in Springfield,” said Lewis Miller, Innovation Group’s North America CFO and acting CEO for the company’s Business Process Services. “We will be working very hard to support the impacted employees during the coming months to help as many individuals as possible to secure another employment opportunity. All options are being considered, including the relocation of some employees to the new facility should the situation be mutually beneficial.”

As a business process services provider to the property and casualty insurance industry, Innovation Group has always worked to demonstrate a strong commitment to first-class claims administration and services for customers, the company said.
