Last time: On Saturday, the Sky defeated the visiting New York Liberty 80-69; on Sunday, the Mystics lost to the visiting Indiana Fever 65-52.
Skinny: The Sky is Sky-high with a five-game winning streak and a 1½-game lead over Atlanta in the Eastern Conference. Plus, star center Sylvia Fowles found out on Tuesday that she has been selected by conference coaches to be a reserve for the WNBA's July 27 all-star game in Connecticut. Fowles certainly cemented her case for all-star consideration with a 15-point, 13-rebound outburst against New York last week. She will join teammates Elena Delle Donne and Epiphanny Prince, who were voted by fans to be all-star starters. … This will be the Sky's last game before the all-star break. The eight-day layoff will end with another game against the Mystics, who are led in scoring by guard Ivory Latta (14.4 ppg) and forward Crystal Langhorne (12.8 ppg). … The Sky is 1-0 against the Mystics this season, pulling out an 89-85 win on July 10 at Allstate Arena.
