Schaumburg’s Assurance named to largest U.S. brokers list

Schaumburg-based independent insurance brokerage Assurance has been named Number 47 on the list of “100 Largest Brokers of U.S. Business” by Business Insurance magazine.

The top 50 honor comes largely as a result of the 13.3 percent organic growth Assurance experienced in 2012, which marked the 5th straight year of double digit growth for the organization. Assurance said in a release it has experienced double digit growth during 13 of the past 14 years.

A leading trade magazine for the commercial insurance industry, Business Insurance annually ranks agents and brokers based on revenues generated through U.S.-based clients. Assurance’s revenues, defined as commissions and fees derived directly from insurance services were calculated by Business Insurance at more than $59 million for the 2012 business year.

Assurance is recognized locally as the second largest independent insurance brokerage in Illinois. In addition, the company has received more than 30 awards for client service and being a best place to work, which is attributed to its service platform, internal culture dedicated to attracting and retaining employees and passion for measurable results including a long-term goal of creating $1 billion in value annually for clients.
