Illinois Department of Natural Resources Grant
The Wauconda Park District recently was awarded an Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources grant for the Illinois Youth Recreation Corps program. The grant will provide employment opportunities for local youth ages 15-19 in summer conservation programs. Job duties include removal of invasive plants and other related park maintenance functions. Applicants must be able to work from mid-July through the August. Anyone interested should submit an application to the Wauconda Park District, 600 N. Main St. Wauconda, IL 60084.
