Down on the Cubs Lower-A farm team, the Kane County Cougars, reside some of the organizationís best young hitters. Dan Vogelbach is a young man with a big swing, an interesting take on practice drills, and a hairstyle with ďflow.Ē I caught up with Vogelbach after a recent home game to ask him a few questions.
Q. What is your favorite home run memory?
A. In high school, when I hit a home run in the top of the seventh inning in a regional semifinal game junior year. It was against my cousinís team, against our rival school. It was one that Iíll never forget.
Q. What is the movie youíve seen the most times?
A. ďRemember the Titans,Ē and I mean, Iíd say close to one hundred times. I could say that movie from the first line to the last. Iíll go some weeks where I watch it three or four times a week.
Q. Who is your idol in the MLB?
A. Miguel Cabrera, I like the way he goes about his business. Never gets down on himself, battles every at bat. He knows he is going to get the pitcherís best stuff each time, but he still does his thing.
Q. Would you want a designated hitter in the NL?
A. Oh, man. Personally, that would be pretty cool to have another guy in the lineup, but thatís something I donít really worry about at all because quite frankly, it doesnít matter what I think.
Q. Whatís your favorite thing to do on Twitter?
A. Iíll tweet at the boys, sometimes I get into Twitter wars with them.
Q. What is this ďflowbro familyĒ thing you have on Twitter?
A. Oh yeah! Pierce Johnson had it. Weíve been growing our hair out so weíve been saying weíve got flow. And then we were on the way to a Cubs game, Pierce and I were talking about it and he said, ďIíll change my name.Ē I said, ďAlright, you can be my flowbro.Ē
Q. What is your relationship like with your siblings?
A. Everybody knows in Fort Myers, at home, they donít mess with Sarah (sister), shes my best friend. My brother, me and my sister are really, really close. Itís always been my little one that Iíve watched after.
Q. Who is the biggest clubhouse prankster?
A. Nathan Doores. Heís a guy thatís hilarious, keeps everyone laughing, but when it comes game time heís the first one to be ready.
Q. Whatís your least favorite drill?

A. Itís boring even though itís really important. I just want to get it over with once it starts.
Q. Whatís the best advice you could give a new player to your team?
A. Go about your business the right way each and every day. Itís going to be a grind; itís a long season.
Q. Did you have a high school nickname?
A. Vogey. People still call me that.
Q. Whatís your favorite high school memory?
A. Winning the state championship my senior year.
Q. Whatís your worst school subject?
Q. Best school subject?
A. Iíd have to say math.
Q. That seems unusual.
A. Yeah, I know. Iíve always been pretty good at math, though.
Q. Favorite video game?
A. NHL, because of living with the Gretzkys down in Arizona for spring training.
Q. How good are you? Did the Gretzkys train you?
A. Yeah, they gave me some practice. Iím pretty good, but not that good.
Q. Whatís your favorite thing to do after a win?
A. Usually after a win I just hang out with the boys. We go to the house, watch TV, play video games.
Q. After a loss?
A. I hate losing. No matter if Iím out in the front yard doing anything, I canít stand losing. So, I pretty much stay to myself after a loss for a little while.
Q. Whatís your favorite away ballpark so far?
