Youth jobs opportunities in Grayslake

The Grayslake Park District has been awarded an Illinois Department of Natural Resources grant for the Illinois Youth Recreation Corps program. It provides employment for local youth, including those who are 17-19 years old, in summer recreation/conservation programs. The district is seeking applicants to assist in its conservation of parks and natural areas. The work includes removal of invasive plants, pond management and other related maintenance functions. Applicants must be able to work from mid-July through the entire month of August. The pay is $9 per hour. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but can be flexible to include some evenings and weekends. Anyone interested should submit an application to the Grayslake Park District at 240 Commerce Drive, Grayslake, as soon as possible.
