Red Stars rally to earn tie

The Chicago Red Stars scored a pair of goals over the final minutes to rally from a 3-1 deficit and tie FC Kansas City 3-3 on Sunday afternoon at the Illinois Benedictine University Sports Complex in Lisle.

Maribel Dominguez, Ella Masar and Lori Chalupny provided the scoring for the Red Stars.

"I'm proud of the fact that they fought back and did what they did today," said Red Stars coach Rory Dames. "The team survives and competes because they depend on each other."

The Red Stars (5-6-4, 19 points) are undefeated in their last three matches.
