Anita Baker's Ravinia show canceled
R&B star Anita Baker's Ravinia Festival concert Saturday, July 13, has been canceled. No reason was given.
Ticketholders for Baker's Highland Park concert should have refunds automatically applied to their original payment method; those who paid with cash or check will be mailed a refund. No other events are scheduled for this Saturday, and Ravinia will be closed. A statement on the Ravinia website stated, “Ravinia concertgoers and staff enjoyed Ms. Baker's 2012 Ravinia debut and hope to welcome her back soon.”
News of the cancellation was sent out after the Daily Herald's Friday Time out! entertainment section went to press listing Baker's concert.
