Warrenville cops probing break-ins

Warrenville police are encouraging residents to secure their homes and vehicles following a string of residential burglaries.

The eight break-ins happened between June and Wednesday in the Summerlakes subdivision, which is west of Route 59. A majority of the crimes occurred between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Police said residents should be watchful of their surroundings, including in and around their neighborhood.

Anyone who observes suspicious activity is asked to dial 911. Anonymous tips will be accepted.

If someone has information about the burglaries, they are asked to call Warrenville police at (630) 393-2131.
