Illinois Fire Personnel Host ‘Home Day’ at College of DuPage

More than 100 fire service leaders recently visited the College of DuPage Homeland Security Education Center (HEC) as part of the recent Illinois Fire Service Home Day. The event featured presentations by Illinois Fire Service personnel and displays by fire equipment manufacturers. Participants also had the opportunity to try new equipment in COD’s state-of-the-art HEC, which features a full-scale indoor street scene for force-on-force exercises; a smoke room with moveable walls for EMS and fire rescue simulations; a full-size ambulance; and an outdoor scaling and rappelling tower.
