Rotary Ribfest to be rockin’ in Lake in the Hills

On Thursday, July 11, to Sunday, July 14, enjoy barbecue and entertainment during the Lake in the Hills Rockin’ Rotary Ribfest at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road, Lake in the Hills.

Other events within 5 miles of Lake in the Hills. Hours are: 4:30 to 11 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; and 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Admission will be free for active military with a military ID. Admission is $5 or free for children ages 12 and younger.

This family-oriented event will feature nationally renowned professional ribbers and family entertainment. There also will be funnel cakes, homemade lemonade, roasted corn and more. Enjoy the rockin’ sounds of some of the best bands in the Chicago area.

The band schedule will be: Thursday from 6:45-8:15 p.m. with Chicago Tribute Anthology and 9-10:30 p.m. with Kashmir: The Led Zeppelin Concert; Friday from 6:45-8:15 p.m. with CoverGÃ¼rl, 9-10:30 p.m. with Bruce In The USA, a Springsteen & the E Street tribute band; Saturday from 1-3 p.m. with Rick Lindy & The Wild Ones; 3:45-5:45 p.m. with The Fortunate Sons, a Creedence Clearwater Revival Tribute; 6:30-8 p.m. with Heartache Tonight, an Eagles tribute band; and 9-10:30 p.m. with Soul Asylum; and on Sunday, from noon-1:15 p.m. with Dave Rudolf’s Beach Party; 2-3:30 p.m. with Hot Rocks: The Rolling Stones Show; and 4:30-6:30 p.m. with 7th Heaven.
