Community Church of Rolling Meadows Cornfest and Craft Fair Aug. 3

The Community Church of Rolling Meadows will have their 57th Annual CORNFEST & CRAFT FAIR on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Craft Fair from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) Admission to grounds is free. The menu features all you can eat sweet corn, grown locally and picked just hours before it is boiled to perfection and smothered in butter. The meal also includes a hamburger or hot dog, relishes, grilled onions, watermelon, & beverage. Seating will be “under the tent” for rain or shine enjoyment. Fresh picked sweet corn will also be bagged for sale by the dozen or half-dozen. Our CRAFT FAIR (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) will feature many booths filled with handmade arts & crafts by area artisans, as well as other vendors. Also back this year, by popular demand, is our RAFFLE (Tickets $2.00 or 6 for $10.00). Prizes this year: Overnight stay for 2 at the Abbey Resort in Lake Geneva, WI; CUBS Tickets; WHITE SOX Tickets; SIX FLAGS GREAT AMERICA Tickets; Outdoor Firepit; and 50/50 cash prize. Rolling Meadows own Frankie Miglio will provide musical entertainment from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. A tradition since 1957, this popular event is a source of community fellowship each August. Come and spend the day with us! Something for everyone, including a bouncy house for kids!

On Sunday, August 4th, we will hold our worship service outdoors, under the CORNFEST tent. This will be a joint service with Kingdom Life House of Prayer and The Community Church of Rolling Meadows. The Pacific Garden Mission choir (from Chicago) will be joining us as well. The service begins at 9:30 a.m. Dress is casual. Please join us!
