Visit Lake County launches new boating website

Want to enjoy one of the 75 inland lakes that Lake County has to offer but don't know where to start? Now there's a website that joins together all of the most important resources for boaters in Lake County, from Lake Michigan to Fox Lake.

The recently launched www.BoatingLakeCounty.com is the first of its kind, combining marina listings, rental information, fishing facts and weather updates with lakeside dining and a calendar of events from all around Lake County.

Visit Lake County and its advertising agency, Davis Harrison Dion, collaborated with Gordy's Marine in Fox Lake, City of Waukegan, The Salmon Stop, the Lake County Forest Preserve District, other marinas, shops and boat-related needs to create a unique website.

It's a timesaving resource that consolidates information on all kinds of boating, from kayaking and canoeing to speed boating or sailing. It includes fishing information and a key of common fish in the Lake County area and information on boat rentals throughout the county.

This website is for seasoned boaters and for newcomers alike. It can take someone on their first boating experience in Lake County or offer boating veterans a place to expand their wealth of knowledge.

The charter fishing page is great for someone who wants to enjoy a day excursion into the waters of Lake Michigan. If someone is looking to merely enjoy a lake without boating, there is a listing of beaches and lakeside dining locations.

BoatingLakeCounty.com also includes videos and blogs about boating and lake culture in Lake County.
