Hot Rods for Huntington's new rain date

New rain date! The Illinois Chapter of the Huntington's Disease Society of America presents a premiere event to our chapter's efforts to support HDSA's mission dedicated to improving the lives of people with Huntington's Disease and their families. Hot Rods for Huntington's will consist of a souped-up car show, a tournament featuring the ever-increasingly popular sport of Baggo, a silent auction including many valuable items, live music from hot local bands, the (LFL) Chicago Bliss ladies as our special guests and much more!

Danielle Karlson-Perrott, board member for the Illinois Chapter of the Huntington's Disease Society of America, and her husband Charles, have worked together to plan 'the event of the summer' in the name of the disease. Charles and his mother Pamela are both HD positive. 


Danielle was recently elected to the board of directors of the IL Chapter of HDSA. Soon afterwards she was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to host an event. Danielle and Charles combined his passion for cars and her passion for fundraising to create Hot Rods for Huntington's Disease. Their passion was put at a stand still due to Mother Nature on June 22, 2013. The Perrott's are now in need of your help! Danielle aired on WGN TV June 19th in efforts to promote their event to as many as possible, because of the unfortunate circumstances she is now in need of the people to stand up and help this new date happen!

Karlson-Perrott says " Calling off the event was one of the most difficult things I had to do. With the help of Volo by my side I made the call at 5:30am. We now need to move forward and promote, promote, promote!" Volo Auto Museum had seen all the work that had been put into this event and gave the Perrott's a glimmer of hope. Karlson- Perrott states "They have given us a new date in which the Hot Rods for Huntington's Disease event can share in the Grand Opening of their 'Cars in Wonderland' showroom.

Now, two events in one!

'Cars in Wonderland' will feature music by Radio Disney, new showroom of all your favorite cars, face painting, photo ops with Tow-Mater and much, much more.

Join us on July 13, 2013, from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Volo Auto Museum.

$20 Car Show Registration, $40 per team Baggo Registration

General Admission: Adult $13.95, Senior $11.95 and kids $8.95
