“World War Z” author Max Brooks coming to Harper

Max Brooks, the author of two best-selling books about zombies, is coming to Harper College in Palatine for an appearance at 7 p.m. Friday, July 12, at the Performing Arts Center, 1200 W. Algonquin Road.

Brooks wrote “The Zombie Survival Guide” and “World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War,” which inspired the recently released moving starring Brad Pitt. A former writer for “Saturday Night Live,” Brooks is the son of director Mel Brooks and the late actress Anne Bancroft.

The cost is $3 for faculty/staff, seniors and students and $5 for general admission. Summer students can attend for free. For more information, call (847) 925-6100.
