Fox Valley Rep presents a summer of toe-tapping musicals and date night comedies at Pheasant Run Resort

July 2013, St. Charles, IL All summer and into the fall, Fox Valley Repertory brings nostalgic musicals and relatable comedies to the Pheasant Run Mainstage. The summer includes: The rocking ‘60s musical, Why Do Fools Fall In Love, FVR Youth Ensembles journey across the famous yellow brick road, The Wizard Of Oz, The insightful and comical play, Defending the Caveman, Mike Toomey's multimedia comedic recollection of television in TV & Me, Chicago's finest improv troupe performing The Best of The Second City, A classic tribute to the legendary composer Cole Porter, Let's Misbehave , at Pheasant Run Resort (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; 630-584-6342).

Fox Valley Rep presents Why Do Fools Fall In Love, the rocking ‘60s musical by Roger Bean and directed by Kyle Donahue. Millie's getting married! At Millie's bachelorette party her and her friends dive into the age old questions about love, marriage, and the overwhelming dating game. Featuring classic 1960s songs like "My Boy Lollipop," "I Will Follow Him," "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" and more, this uplifting comedy reaffirms that true friendship will unveil its everlasting strength—and it does so with a rockin' beat! Why Do Fools Fall in Love? performs Now through Sunday, July 28, 2013. Show times are: Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm. Special Thursday performances are July 11 & 25 at 2pm. Tickets are $32-$42. Rated PG.

Prepare to be transported “over the rainbow”, by the FVR Youth Ensemble in The Wizard of Oz. You'll see all of your favorite characters including the Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and Scarecrow brought to life on stage in the greatest family musical of all time. The Wizard of Oz performs July 20 – 28, Saturdays at 10:30 am and Sundays at 7pm. Tickets are $10-$15.

The longest running solo play in Broadway history, Defending the Caveman, is a hilarious spin on how men and women relate. This hoot of a show is sure to have you roaring with laughter all night long. Defending the Caveman performs August 2 - 10, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm. Rated PG13. Tickets are $42.

In TV & Me, a hilarious trip down memory lane, national comedian Mike Toomey reveals how the role of television in his childhood has shaped his adult life. Revisit 60's and 70's TV Land with this multimedia presentation, featuring over 200 slide and sound bytes. That's not to mention Toomey's dead-on impression of your favorite TV celebrities! TV & Me performs August 16 & 17, Friday and Saturday at 8pm. Rated PG13. Tickets are $32.

Chicago's best-loved comedy group returns for a night of their unique brand of hilarity, in The Best of The Second City. From the company that launched the careers of Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and more, comes the next generation of the comedy world's best and brightest in an evening of hilarious sketch comedy and Second City's trademark improvisation. The Best of The Second City performs August 23 & 24, Friday and Saturday at 8pm. Rated R. Tickets are $42.

The new Cole Porter Revue, Let's Misbehave, is an honorable tribute that will have you dancing and singing the night away. Classics such as “Kiss Me Kate” and “Anything Goes” are just two of over thirty tunes that are featured in this must see revue. Let's Misbehave performs August 29 - October 20, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm. Sundays at 2pm. Rated PG. Tickets are $32-$42.
