Bloomingdale Park District receives grant to hire 30 youth

The Bloomingdale Park District was recently notified that it will receive a grant worth up to $61,872 from the Illinois Youth Recreation Corps Grant Program, a statewide effort managed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, that will enable the park district. to hire 30 youth this summer. The Department of Natural Resources allows for an hourly wage of $9. Hiring is limited to citizens of the Illinois who, at the time of hiring, are 14 through 18, or 19 and older for supervisors, and have skills that can be used in the summer recreation/conservation program. Youth currently employed in any manner by the park district are not eligible for inclusion in the program.
