Meeting on future of downtown Mt. Prospect July 10

To participate in a study of how downtown Mount Prospect can improve in the years to come, the public is invited an open house 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, in the executive board room, 3rd floor of village hall, 50 S. Emerson St.

The Village of Mount Prospect and The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) are working with the Lakota Group on the study.

“We are constantly looking for ways to enhance downtown amenities and services for our residents,” Community Development Director Bill Cooney said. “If you would like to play a role in the future of our downtown, here’s your chance to make a difference.”

The Lakota Group will lead a presentation and group discussion related to land-use strategies, development concepts, branding and pedestrian enhancements. Updates on the study will be at thelakotagroup.com/mountprospect.
