Rock bands! Are you looking for a venue? Want to get your name and music "out there?" Audition for Battle of the Bands, taking place from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, in Schaumburg's Town Square (corner of Schaumburg and Roselle roads).
Chosen bands will perform outdoors by the Town Square pond, across the street from the Schaumburg Township District Library. In the event of rain, the competition will take place in the library's Audiovisual Theatre. This annual event, sponsored by the library, draws hundreds of local teens and serves as a great opportunity for publicity.
Auditions are taking place until Tuesday, July 9. To be eligible to compete, band members must be 21 or younger and must be available at 5 p.m. on July 23, to set up their equipment. To audition, submit one MP3 song to email@example.com or submit a link to a website such as YouTube or Purevolume. For more information, contact the library's teen staff at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (847) 923-3240. There is no fee for participating or attending the band battle.
