Metra offers deal on Friday for Stanley Cup event

Metra is offering a deal for Chicago Blackhawks fans who want to watch the Stanley Cup celebration on Friday.

The Chicago Sun-Times (http://bit.ly/10WHego ) reports that the commuter train line will charge only $5 for unlimited rides Friday. The offer is good for all riders on Friday, whether they’re attending the festivities or not.

The special tickets won’t be sold at vending machines and riders are encouraged to buy the tickets in advance from ticket agents.

Because of the expected big crowds, people won’t be allowed to take bicycles on trains on Friday. Nor will they be allowed to bring alcohol on trains, as is typically allowed.
