Naperville safety check nets three DUI arrests

Naperville police said they found 31 violations during a nighttime roadside safety check Friday at 5th Avenue and Washington Street and wound up making three DUI arrests, two arrests for unlawful possession of a weapon and two warrant arrests.

Police said 367 vehicles passed through the enforcement lanes during the check, which focused on arresting or ticketing impaired drivers and seat-belt violators.
